Veendam
The headquarters in Veendam is the central heart of the organization. From here, strategy, operations, and support are directed, ranging from HR and communications to management and cooperative affairs. It is the organizational anchor point for all Dutch and international activities.

Foxhol
Foxhol is one of Avebe’s historic production locations and plays a unique role within the chain. This is where the roots of specialized starch processing lie, including production processes that do not take place everywhere within Avebe. The factory has specific installations for processing starch and potato protein and is known for its role in developing and scaling up new, innovative production processes.
Ter Apelkanaal
Ter Apelkanaal is a large production site and also Avebe’s logistical hub. With the sustainable distribution center opened in 2021, this site offers space for 35,000 pallets, a modern logistics system, and environmentally friendly construction principles. As a result, it is the link where production, storage, and efficient distribution come together.
Gasselternijveen
Gasselternijveen is, like Foxhol and Ter Apelkanaal, one of Avebe’s production locations for starch and protein. Here, potatoes are processed into high‑quality ingredients for food, animal feed, and industrial applications. Together with the other two locations, it forms an essential part of the production chain.
Groningen
In Groningen you will find the Innovation Center, fully focused on developing new applications for potato starch and potato protein. In various labs and test facilities, researchers, students, and customers work together on product development, innovation, and knowledge sharing, from recipes to prototypes.
Valthermond
Averis Seeds in Valthermond is a 100% subsidiary of Avebe and focuses on the development, multiplication, and trade of starch potato varieties. It represents varieties grown in all starch potato cultivation areas in the Netherlands and Germany.
