The job
The Market Anticipation Leader is responsible for defining the strategic direction of specific segment(s) in which Avebe operates. He/ she manages this/ these business segment(s), creating strong brands and value propositions and to accelerate market driven innovation. The role requires being aware of global market trends, being able to identify market gaps and concepts, ideas and marketing strategies to boost our business at our clients and for innovation.
The Market Anticipation Leader manager is highly visible in the organization, ensures strong communication of the marketing plans in the organization and leads cross-functional teams with Innovation, Business development and Sales. As part of the marketing team and in close connection with the Innovation and Sales departments, the Market Anticipation Leader will be responsible for the following tasks:
Marketing vision, strategy and plan: Based on strong market analysis you set strategic directions and develop the marketing strategy, and yearly marketing plans including implementation of these plans, all in sync with the overall Avebe corporate strategy and customer needs.
Commercial innovation strategy, idea generation and initiator of innovation projects: In line with the strategic directions you translate market intelligence and business opportunities into a consistent commercial innovation strategy and viable ideas and concepts for product development and diversification. You steer the process of idea generation and select and prioritize innovation projects together with the business teams that you lead and coordinate the initiation of new projects.
Brands, value propositions and market launch: You develop concepts and value propositions with which the company can differentiate itself in the (international) market. When successfully validated and approved, you are responsible for formulating and executing of the operational launch plan (including branding and positioning) of the product and ensure the professional execution of the market introduction in alignment with your colleagues from sales and marketing.
Branding, brand identity, positioning and portfolio management: You develop and manage the category/brand architecture, identity and positionings. Manage product life cycles for the assigned products/brands and monitor and optimize product/brand performance, in strong alignment with the relevant stakeholders.
Business opportunities: Based on market trends and customer insights you are always curious and seeking for business opportunities. You identify market gaps and/opportunities for growth that can be fulfilled/matched with the existing Avebe portfolio and or capabilities maximizing the business result, utilizing creative marketing activation and tools.
Requirements
To execute the above work properly, we are looking for someone with:
- Academic graduation with specialty in Marketing, ideally MBA
- Experience with Marketing principles and models
- Fluently in English (in writing and speaking)
- Minimally 4 years working experience in a similar position in Marketing
